….almost two centuries of real passion
The history of Sorì Italia begins in the earlier ages of the XIX century when
Giuseppe Sorrentino rented a dairy near Battipaglia , in order to put in fruit his personal experience learned, since he was 15, in several workshops in Naples in order to produce Mozzarella di Bufala .
For ages the familiar guide is the centre, the fulcrum around which it moves the full entrepreneurial activity, then it will enter in the firma the first ancestor of the family of the latest century: Luigi Sorrentino. He continues the activity as little transformer, created by his ancestors in Battipaglia and more, with his partenopeans origins and the particular support by his children Vincenzo and Pasquale.
He decides in 1918 to set up in the ancient Porta Capuana, shopping centre in the city of Naples, a little distributive structure, using horses and gigs producing dairy products by own production like Mozzarella di Bufala and Ricotta, and other products that were only for the
commercialization.
And it is just Pasquale Sorrentino that, with his particular and extraordinary engagement, succeeds to place the basis for the creation of a big dairy firma, in order to produce and distribute to drag in the XX
century.
In 1950, in a difficult after-war period for the Italian economy comes up the fifth generation with Luigi and Giovanni; it is their arduous work to guide the firm because of the illness that hutted their parent. Giovanni decides to face in his (first) person the difficult moment of the firm cultivating all dreams and ambitions of his
father.
He believes really in the dairy product which is typical in Campania and particularly he has an intuition that is really grateful in defining for the future the Mozzarella di Bufala Campana as the first Italian cheese by spanned pasta.(pasta filata), so much so that in 1990 with the advent of the actual generation represented by Gaetano and Antonio it will to throw the basis for the construction in Caserta’ s province of the biggest and modernist dairy system in Campania; so it will obtain
an integration up-stream of this distributive firma with a direct control of all raw materials.
Steady point of Sorì strategy are the product quality and the great attention to the satisfaction of the customers with whom it will create a relationship, that often will proceed more than the commercial trade, in order to become friendship that continues through more
generations.
The communication, is a fundamental aspect of the firma’ strategy, and it is represented earlier by the exhibitions manifold manifestations which take part in their first person Gaetano and Antonio Sorrentino.
